Liz Marsland is an English actress and farmer, known publicly as the wife of former Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher and as co-owner of the couple’s farm in Cheshire. Public information about her is limited, and several online biographies contain conflicting claims about her age, acting credits, net worth and children.
Marsland is generally described as being from Staffordshire and as having known Kelvin Fletcher since childhood. The couple married in 2015 after years of knowing each other and now appear together in programmes about their farming life. Her acting career has remained far less visible than her husband’s.
Fletcher became famous as Andy Sugden in Emmerdale, a role he played from 1996 to 2016. Marsland’s connection to that world is often misunderstood, and the sections below separate what is reliably documented from what is not.

Liz Marsland’s Career: Hollyoaks, Emmerdale, and Other Roles
Marsland is associated with several television and film credits, though her public profile has been much lower than her husband’s. A professional profile for her appears on the site of the InterTalent Group, a talent agency.
What has Liz Marsland been in?
Her most frequently cited acting work includes the BBC drama In the Club and the short film Pace. These credits appear in biographical profiles and in news coverage of her husband’s career.
Her career appears to have become secondary to family life, farming and television appearances documenting the Fletcher household. Biographical coverage of Marsland points to that shift toward rural life and family projects.
Did Liz Marsland appear in Hollyoaks?
Some entertainment databases and secondary biographies claim that she played bank manager Alex Burton in Hollyoaks in 2023. That credit has not been firmly established in the available reputable coverage, so it is best treated as a reported role rather than a confirmed one.
Did Liz Marsland appear in Emmerdale?
The available search results do not establish a substantial or long-running Emmerdale role for Marsland. The soap connection comes from her husband: Kelvin Fletcher played Andy Sugden from 1996 to 2016. The Sugden family’s screen history is examined further in Robert Sugden – Permanent Return to Emmerdale Explained.

Marsland is married to Kelvin Fletcher, an actor, presenter, racing driver and farmer who became famous as Andy Sugden in Emmerdale. The couple became engaged in 2014 and married privately on 28 November 2015. Their relationship has been covered as a “rollercoaster” marriage in the Mirror, including an earlier breakup before they ultimately reunited.
Some reports connect that earlier separation to jealousy over the attention Fletcher received from fans. The couple have since presented themselves publicly as a family working together on their farm and related television projects.
How many children does Liz Marsland have?
The couple have four children. Older reports initially referred to only two, and some newer lifestyle pages still list only Marnie and Milo, but the best-supported total is four.

- Milo, born in 2018.
- Maximus and Mateusz, twin boys born later; reports published in 2023 described them as 16 months old.
Several lifestyle pages list only Marnie and Milo. The twins are documented in coverage from 2023, when reports described Maximus and Mateusz as 16 months old, so the supported total remains four children.
Liz Marsland Net Worth
No reliable, independently verified figure for Marsland’s personal net worth was found in the available coverage. Online biography sites may publish numerical estimates, but none provide audited accounts, verified asset disclosures or a reputable financial source supporting a specific amount.
The family’s income may come from television, acting, farming, events, agricultural sales and accommodation. A 2026 report in The Sun claimed that a renovated cottage on the farm was being rented for about £1,500 per week, but that figure concerns a reported business revenue stream rather than Marsland’s personal net worth.
Kelvin Fletcher’s finances should not automatically be treated as Marsland’s. Celebrity net worth estimates are often speculative and do not establish the couple’s respective ownership shares.
Numerical estimates of Marsland’s net worth circulate online, but none of the available sources provide audited accounts, verified asset disclosures or a reputable financial basis for a specific figure.

Why is most coverage of Liz Marsland connected to Kelvin Fletcher?
In 2021, Fletcher and Marsland bought a roughly 120-acre farm near Wincle, close to Macclesfield and on the edge of the Peak District. The property includes a historic cottage and agricultural outbuildings. Their early livestock reportedly included sheep, pigs and alpacas, with later reports also mentioning horses, chickens, a cat and a dog.
The family’s transition from urban life to farming was documented in the BBC series Kelvin’s Big Farming Adventure, which followed the couple learning to operate the farm despite having no substantial prior farming experience. A later ITV programme, Fletcher’s Family Farm, continued documenting the farm, livestock and family life. The Oldham Times and Countryfile have both covered the family’s rural projects. The couple have also been linked with a farm shop, events and rural-business activities under the Fletcher family branding.
Because these projects are built around Fletcher’s name, Marsland’s own story tends to appear in the context of his career. That dynamic helps explain why her filmography and personal details remain less documented than his. Long-running UK soap careers have drawn similar public attention; William Roache – Ken Barlow’s Longest TV Career looks at one of the most enduring examples.
What have news reports said about Liz Marsland?
