What the briefing contains
Each edition of the newsletter is a curated selection of our most important reporting from the past seven days. You will find a roundup of the week’s top local news and public affairs stories, alongside dedicated sections for transport updates, property and housing developments, business and economy analysis, and cultural highlights. We include explainers on key council decisions, planning applications and infrastructure projects, as well as city guides, reviews and event recommendations. Frequency and special editions
The DailyCity Weekly Briefing is sent every Friday morning. In addition to the weekly digest, we publish special editions to cover major national developments that have a direct impact on UK cities, such as budget announcements, significant policy changes, transport strikes or public health updates. These special editions are reserved for genuinely consequential events and are never sent frivolously.
Who curates the newsletter
The newsletter is curated by the full editorial team under the oversight of Editor-in-Chief Alexander Whitmore.
