Every piece of editorial content published on DailyCity.co.uk is reviewed by a human editor before it appears. News articles, features and city guides go through at least one round of editorial review by the Managing Editor or a section editor. For sensitive stories, political reporting, investigations and any article that involves allegations or vulnerable sources, an additional review is conducted by Thomas Ellery, our Standards & Fact-Checking Lead. Thomas oversees fact-checking, source verification, corrections review, rights checks, image attribution and editorial standards. We also use digital tools to support research, editing, formatting, translation, metadata, headlines, summaries and transcription, but all published content is checked and approved by a human. Artificial intelligence is never used to fabricate quotes, sources, interviews, bylines, author experience or expert profiles. Our AI & Automation Policy provides further detail.

Alexander Whitmore, Editor-in-Chief, has overall responsibility for editorial policy, corrections, standards, publication decisions, source review and content quality.
